A holistic approach…
Evidence-based, science-backed. While “holistic” is a term often coopted by the “woo” crowd, I mean it in the purest sense of the word - our parts are interconnected.
For example, perhaps your goal is to start your day with movement. While we will of course look at scaffolding and building supports around making that decision a reality; we will also look at a full picture and consider other areas that may impact this choice. If you’re staying up ‘til the wee hours of the night (perhaps due to a non-existent bedtime routine and poor sleep hygiene) it is going to feel, and really be, impossible to get up and start that movement routine. But, if we can develop a plan to support your evening routine better, suddenly the morning routine and movement goal becomes much easier.
Exploring where and how your neurotype shows up in life.
Or another example- let’s say you’re like me and really struggle with emotional regulation. This may come out in your mothering and you spend half your time apologising and the other half beating yourself up for not “acting” how you really want. We know in those moments of dysregulation our “default mode” takes over. We can work together to find realistic tools and strategies that you can practice when you’re regulated that will re-write that default programming and get you steps closer to being the more regulated mother you really want to be.
But again, we’ll do this holistically and part of that may also be looking at your child’s regulation and ways we can increase or decrease sensory input for both of you.
Coaching with Sam
Bringing it all together…
I’ve harnessed all of my previous life experience and learning to assist others who feel like they could live better.
Life is harder for us as neurodivergent mothers, but it doesn’t have to feel impossible.
Looking at a fully holistic approach to life and wellness- highlighting areas like self, movement, connection, sensory, nourishment- I want to help mothers bring more ease and wellness into their life.
I’m not a guru, I don’t have it all figured out, and I struggle a lot of the time. I’ll be the first to admit that. But I have learned a thing or two and I want to share that with people with the aim of you being able to avoid the struggle I learned from.
I offer evidence-based, science back solutions without the “woo”. You can count on guidance that is straight forward and easy to apply to your life.
